Disney Day 1

Here it goes! Document a wonderful 8 day trip to Disney, sort through the 851 pictures I took to do it justice and not be sad that I am home and NOT in the most Magical Place on Earth! Yes, we had a wonderful time. Almost a year ago this trip started in the works with lots of planning. This was my 13th trip to Disney, Charley is a little less than that, Kylee's 3rd trip, and Katie's 2nd trip. My parents also came with us and I bet they are pretty close to me in the number of times they have gone if not more. They have been everytime with Kylee and Katie and they didn't want to miss another one. The trip started on Friday night, Dec. 3rd with a sleepover at Grandma and Grandad's house. Our flights left early Saturday morning and we only wanted to take one car so we stayed there. In the middle of the night, Kylee came in to me and Charley saying her tooth came out. It was very loose and we were surprised she didn't swallow it. This was tooth number 8 (yeah, because for us that means time to spend a lot of money at the Orthodontists). Anyway, the tooth fairy came and told her to say hi to Tinker Bell the next day! We got up in the 5 oclock hour and were headed to the airport. We didn't fly on the same flight with my parents but we all got dropped off and on the flight. Because of air miles that we use to travel for Charley and Kylee to be on our flight he had to upgrade to First Class (poor Charley). However, he was sweet enough to give it to me. So me and Kylee sat in first class which was fun. Once we got to the Orlando Airport we were off to Magical Express-which is in terminal B. Got a little lost but we are headed to Disney so who cares. We had about a 30 minute wait in the Magical Express line to get on the bus. When we got to the hotel, Disney's Wilderness Lodge, we checked in and our room was ready! YEAH!! We also found out we had connecting rooms with my parents. The girls were so excited about this. Once we entered the hotel it was so surreal, because after so much planning to finally be there. I really wanted time to stand still. Once we checked out the hotel room, we went down to have lunch in the little quick service area. They were doing cookie decorating so the girls loved that. We then toured the hotel. While on the plane, Kylee read the book Hidden Mickey's. So they got obsessed with looking for Hidden Mickey's which Charley and I learned very quickly could get VERY old! My parents met up with us in the hotel room right in time to head to Epcot. Since it takes 4 to 5 hours to get your luggage delivered to your room from the Magical Express I had a carry on with all the clothes and things we needed for our princess meal that night. We changed and off to Epcot for our first character meal-Princess StoryBook at Askerhaus. We got there early so we rode Spaceship Earth. Katie loved it, Kylee wanted a fast ride! Epcot was pretty crowded but it was Saturday so that is expected. We fast passed Norway's ride for after dinner. We are in Norway about to meet Belle! Kylee has always loved Belle because she has brown hair and loves to read. Belle is the Princess to greet you at the entrance here. WE were then seated and could enjoy the cold buffet while we waited for our main course (which was so yummy!!). We saw Princess Ariel, Aurora, Cinderella, and Snow White. My little Katie was in princess heaven. She even told Ariel about watching her on TV but we got a new TV so she can't watch her anymore:) They also do a princess parade around the restaurant which was precious. Smiles from Ear to Ear! I think the girls could have stayed there forever. I was so excited Kylee dressed up because I am sure the next time we go she will have nothing to do with that. Also, the weather was gorgeous this day. Little did we know what was in store for us. We left and rode Norway and then Mexico rides. We decided to leave and take the monorail to the Magic Kingdom just to tour around. We also love the monorail so it is like a ride in itself. One big thing is that Disney is very crowded on Saturday's. My suggestion to anyone going is to plan your trip around not being in one of the parks on a Saturday. I was thankful to only be there for a short amount of time. After the monorail trip we took a boat from the Magic Kingdom to our hotel and headed off to bed. We were all excited about our day at the Magic Kingdom!
