The Book and The Dance

Two funny Kids stories about each of the girls:

1. Kylee was getting in trouble for something one morning and Charley had warned her that if she didn't let her sister play a game the way she wanted to she would get a spanking. He went and took and shower and when he came out she and Katie were fighting. So Charley told Kylee to come into our room and he was getting on to her and gave her a last time spanking warning. She said so you aren't going to spank me and Charley said no. So she said hold on just a minute and took this book out of her pants and said I thought I was going to get a spanking. 2. Katie had her friend Brady over to play and while he was here she put on her dance CD and told him where to sit and did her dance recital for him. It was so funny. At one point he asked are you done yet! She said I will get you some food. She went and got him play food and then he pretended to eat and she danced. He was so patient and sweet while she performed.

Annual Day at the Gaylord Texan

We went on our Annual picture taking trip to the Gaylord Texan and had a lunch birthday with both my parents who celebrate birthdays within days of each other. We also saw Santa and all the beautiful Christmas decorations. This trip always puts me in the spirit of the holidays and despite pictures not being a blast to do we always have fun. This year, Kylee was posing everywhere having me take probably 100 pictures and Katie had to be bribed to take a couple.

Tree Trimming

The weekend after Thanksgiving we had our tree trimming tradition at our house. The girls are part of every decoration that goes up and they have a blast. I have to rearrange just a little after they help decorate the big tree. They have their own pink tree in the playroom that they decorate fancy with their ornaments and crowns, necklaces, etc. They can do this tree however they want and they love it!! We also have our traditional wear your Christmas pj's for the first time and watch Polar Express with Popcorn and M&M's. It was so fun. We also started a new tradition of Elf on the Shelf. They named our elf Rudy and he hides every night and they had a blast looking for him the next morning. We love everything Christmas at our house!!

Thanksgiving Celebration plus My Mom's Birthday

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving Feast at my parents this year with my sister and her family. The kids had a fabulous time and so did I. We had our traditional foods turkey, stuffing, brocoli rice casserole, sweet potato casserole, green bean casserole, pumpkin rolls, and the food could keep going. YUM!!! It was also my mom birthday and the kids loved celebrating with her and the yummy chocolate cake. The kids had a fun art project of turning an apple into a turkey. It was fun.
