A week at Meme and Pops
The girls had a wonderful week at their Meme and Pops at the beginning of July. I missed them terribly but talked to them daily at least once but usually more than that. They were always happy and having fun. Kylee did get really sick while she was there but was taken care of by her Meme and Pops better than I could imagine and Katie got sick on the way home. They are all well now. I had to share some pics of their trip that I loved. During the week, they celebrated the fourth with their own very safe fireworks show, saw cousins in AR, played putt putt, got some time with two rotten dogs, had fun with great grandparents and great Aunts and Uncles, saw all kinds of animals (one night Kylee called us and said she saw 11 deer), and most of all had a very special time with Meme and Pops. I loved my week off with Charley. We ate out, watched two movies at the theater, and rented more, cleaned out the garage, painted a ceiling, got some decorations, laid out at the pool once, read 3 books, and missed the girls so much. I did miss them but really enjoyed the quiet time and think this should be a yearly tradition.

Visit with Friends
The last week of June one of my best college friends and her sweet family came for a weekend visit. I had looked forward to this weekend for months and was so excited to see them. It had been a couple years and we had plenty to talk about. I love having a friend that you don't see for a long time and when you get together its like you saw each other yesterday. We spent the weekend talking, laughing, watching our girls become sweet friends, eating, and looking through all my college pictures albums. This is one of the pictures below of me and Traci, sophomore year. We found a lot more and if you went to Harding and knew me then I promise there were pictures of you and a lot of reminiscing from the two of us. College brought some of my best friends and best memories that truly do last a lifetime.

The pictures below are of us at the pool the first day they were here. Our girls hit it right off and had fun playing from the start.

That night we went to one of my favorite place, Southlake Town Center, for dinner and let the girls play in the fountain. Our hubbies had played golf all day and had a great time at an amazing course.

When we got home the girls played outside and hit some balls.

Early the next morning milk and TV time.

Then the big girls went to Grapevine Mills for lunch, a little shopping, and Lunar Golf. They loved it

After church Saturday night, Traci and I went to eat and see a movie (What Happens in Vegas)for some good girl time. It was great and we really got to talk.

I Hate To Do This!!!
I am so completely bummed to do this because I have gotten in touch with so many friends and love the whole blog thing but I am going private soon. I have chills after something I just read from a friend from college that just went private. It was super scary and very real. I don't think after reading what I just did and having children of my own that I can stay open. So in order to make sure I go private the right way and get email addresses from those of you I don't have I will not go private until next week. So send me your email in the comment part. I have it set up so it will email me without going to the comment part for everyone to view (if it works the way I plan for it to). I know I read blogs and don't always know the person or I do but to scared they don't remember me to comment so please feel free to leave a message with your email. We may even find we are reading each others blogs:) If you are family, I may not have your email handy or at all so please comment also. I don't have a right to post what happened to my friend but I will tell you it was enough to make me do this immediately. I think my main purpose all along for blogging was to keep a journal of our everyday fun stuff for family and friends to enjoy so I hope we can still do this on a safe level.

Missing My Girls
Yesterday we met Charley's parents to hand off our girls to spend some special time almost a week to be exact with their Meme and Pops. This is my first time to send Katie off like this and Kylee's second. I am so excited for them but at the same time miss them so much already. Kylee woke up at 6:50 yesterday morning bouncing off the walls with excitement to go see them. Katie got really excited once we saw them. Last night they called us to tell us about all the deer they saw on a walk. They are having fun. You may ask what am I going to do with all my time. Well, Charley and I are shopping, movie watching and a nice dinner out tonight. I already read an entire book last night (the 4th in the Redemption series by Karen Kingsbury, which I would highly recommend), I plan to finish the last in the series in the next day or two. I will clean out every toy and closet of the girls, paint the girls ceiling in their bathroom, clean out our garage, relax, watch a little TV, I may go lay out by the pool, and did I mention miss the girls. Charley and I are already enjoying just visiting and hanging out. It doesn't come easy for me to just send the girls away, I really do struggle with fear and worry. I know this about myself and am not proud of it. Satan likes to use every way he can to remind me of this and make me fearful and worry. I trust Meme and Pops completely and know the girls are loving their time with them and need this special time and it is a great time for me to work on me and my own anxieties of this type of thing. So this week I also plan to pray a little harder when I catch myself becoming fearful and worrying. I know when we see our girls next week they will have great stories of fun and memories that will stick with them for a long time. I hope to be rested and refreshed a little closer to the Lord and my wonderful husband.
And no post is complete without a couple pictures of my girls. I took these a few weeks ago of the girls. My girls love tutus and had so much fun being in them. I also love practicing with my new camera. Katie didn't want to pose with Kylee so the best I got of the two of them was the last picture.
