Carving a Pumpkin
Charley and the girls worked hard on carving our pumpkin this year. I took pics and sat and talked. Carving a pumpkin is not my thing but I enjoy visiting and watching them work. Katie has Zoe the Zebra from school this weekend so most pics include her since she has not left her side. The pumpkin also has black stripes added at the end and Zoe the Zebra written on top. The girls loved doing this and I am sure it will not be long until they have their own pumpkins to carve.
Katie's Halloween Parade
Katie's Preschool has a Costume Parade and this year she made it very clear that I had to be there. I Had no plans to go to it but Katie asked and when I said no she reminded me of all the things I go to of Kylee's and how much she would LOVE for me to be there. I do realize that I never miss anything of Kylee's at all and seriously probably only went to two of her school things last year. OOPS!! I was so glad I went this year. Do you see that smile in the first picture? Yep That was when she saw me! So Happy!! It was worth it all. I really enjoyed it and she loved me being there. Since this is her last year of preschool I realize I need be there to enjoy all these last moments of preschool. She loved parading around the school getting candy. They took group pics at the end and boy and girl pics too! Everyone was adorable and I loved spending time with my special Peacock Princess! When it was time to go there was some sadness on Katie's part but when I told her if she couldn't pull it together I couldn't come again she quickly smiled and pulled it together.

Brooklyn the Party Fairy
Oh Fun School Projects!! We spent almost the entire weekend working on Kylee's 2-D/3-D shape project for school. It was an ALL family project. We started early Saturday morning with trips to Home Depot for supplies until 2 pm and then all Sunday afternoon. This is not my or Charley's talent and we definitely had moments of frustration. Kylee and Katie had a great time. When they were not involved while we hot glued or cut PVC pipes, they were playing in the ice chest, riding bikes in the garage, and collecting stuffed animals that I had sat aside for goodwill and claiming them as their own again! Kylee really did help with most of it from spray painting to cutting hair out and all the details. She had it in her mind to do a Fairy from her Rainbow Magic Fairy Books she loves to read. So we made Brooklyn the Party Fairy. You can read below about her. She turned out great. She became front heavy so Charley had to tape a package of muffin mix on her backside. It was pretty funny! Kylee got it to school safe and sound and everyone loved it and commented on it. We all felt great about it:) She had to do a presentation in class describing all the 3/d and 2/d shapes. Kylee said she did well and thinks she got a 100 (I sure hope so;)

Pumpkin Patch 2010
We made our annual trip and possibly last trip to the pumpkin patch this year. The girls had fun and loved it. Kylee was meeting her girl scout troop us there so we went a little early and took pics and did all the bounce stuff and hay maze (big mistake for my very allergy prone child). We ran into friends while we were there and the girls loved that. Then we went on a hay ride with girl scout friends and got a pumpkin. Then Kylee's allergies really started acting up, red itchy eyes, runny nose, sneezing, then the wheezing began and coughing. We quickly got off the hayride and headed straight to the car. By the time we got to the car Kylee was having a hard time breathing so we had to use her rescue inhaler (for the very first time) and by the time we got home she was much better. She went straight to the shower and rinsed all the yuck off. While it began fun we learned that with Kylee's allergies the mold in hay is just too much for her to handle and at the pumpkin patches they are filled with hay and dust that just hurt her too much! Glad we went and did it but we will really have to think about ever going again.
Bully Awareness Week
At Kylee's school they had a week of dressing up for Bully Awareness. Kylee loves any reason to dress up or different. I meant to take pics everyday to blog because Kylee asked me to but I forgot to get pics on two days-60's dress day and wear sunglasses day. Each day had a reason for the dress up- Like Twin day which she and Anna dressed up was Pair Up With a Friend or something like that. They also had crazy sock day and hat day. We are now gearing up for Red Ribbon Week so another full week of dressing up:)
