The "Tail" Of Ally Boo

The pictures above are my girls with Ally Boo, our dog, that lives in AR with Meme and Pops now. I have done a lot thinking about Ally and where it all begin up to this point of her not being able to live with us anymore so bear with me while do some reminiscing as I write. Like a lot of newly married couples Charley and I were not quite ready for kids but thought a dog would be a good test run so enter Ally Boo. I loved her instantly and treated her like she was my child. For those of you who knew me then I'm sorry for the constant talk and babying of my dog. I was ridiculous. I never thought she would leave us. She was spoiled rotten which is part of the reason. Several years later, enter Kylee who I love way more than Ally Boo and requires lots of time. All the barking, neediness of a dog started to get to me, still keeping her though. Kylee grew to love BooBoo (as my girls call her) and I think Ally wanted to love her but the growling started ( no biting )but I knew it could be trouble. Three year later, enter Katie, It became too much for me and Ally. She shook everytime Katie cried and she got more mean. Charley and I both knew we couldn't handle it so Charley's parents thankfully took her. THANK YOU!!!! We have seen her a few times since she is gone and Katie is crazy about her but as you can see in the picture above with Katie barely touching her the mean face on Ally. Ally spent the night at our new home a couple weeks ago and these are pictures from it, I really miss Ally cleaning the floor. The girls are just too young for her. Kylee had her sitting begging for food, put a tie on her and took her for a walk. Katie tried to walk her, love her, read her the Bible, but mostly made her mad. I love Ally and really miss her but know we are all better off with her not living here. Katie calls all dogs BooBoo which I love because even the short amount of time Katie was around BooBoo she made an impression and now we all think of her when Katie yells BooBoo. : )

This and That

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LITTLE E!!!! Today we went to my nephews birthday party. It was so fun and neat to watch my sisters little boy turn 1 and the excitement of everyone. My girls love him and their Aunt T and Uncle B. We actually do call them T, B, and E. The party was a splash party/Backyardigans theme and Kylee played for almost 3 hours and I had to insist she come in because I was concerned about a sunburn (too late she is red and she even had sunscreen on). Katie tried to drown herself (notice picture below) and yes I kept taking the picture (great mommy, huh?) but we saved her and she is safe and sound. She is so daring that these little things she accidentally does, drown, fall off chairs, couches, beds etc have made me so crazy with her. Kylee is not daring at all so this is all new to me. If anyone has advice on how to keep your wild child safe let me know : ) Anyway it was a great day for all of us and we love watching our cousin turn 1. I have to brag on my sis for a minute. Kylee and my sis have such a special bond that warms my heart. Charley was telling her that her Aunt T loved her just a little and she said no, she loves me a lot and that is so true for both of them. They have such a tight relationship. It is great!! Also, watching my little sis with her son is so great for me. I think she is such an awesome mom and great sister. I am so thankful God gave me my sister for one million reasons. I just pray my girls will be as close as we are : ) Love you sis.

Katie trying to get the toys!

Drowning Photo, please don't call CPS!!

How cute is this cake!!??!!

Cousins Picture time. This is a picture of Hud( I don't post full names except my own kids : )), Katie, Kylee. I posted it because I love how much Katie and Hud could pass for siblings. What do yall think? We got to spend a couple days with him and he and Katie and Kylee had the best time together. Katie and Hud even sounded alike. We kept getting confused on who was saying what. We love our cousins and how special all the relationships are with them.

These last 3 pics (it was 3 now 2 don't know what happened to the other pic.) are mainly for our Meme. She helped me paint the girls playroom chocolate brown and I had a very talented girl come and paint the Fruit of the Spirit scripture above the arches and a daisy frame over the girls kitchen. We will put picture frames in it eventually. The last pic is in Kylee's room and a painting she did a month ago. The picture doesn't do it justice. She is great. If anyone in the area needs a talented mural painter let me know and I will get you her info. She told me to pass it along. I am enjoying decorating our new home slowly but it is fun and Kyee is getting into the spirit too.

The Wiggles Play Place

We went over to visit my sister last week and went to the Wiggles Play place. It was so neat. It had 3 main areas for the kids to play. It was really great for all ages. We went with my sis, my nephew, my sisters niece and my mom. Kylee really enjoyed having a friend to play with. Katie and Little E ran around together playing and their favorite thing was to stand in front of the TV with hands on (note pic above) and dance. This is funny to me because Katie doesn't like TV at all but loved it their. My mom and I had to take Katie down the slides and into the tall area. We both got an awesome workout. It was a really fun time. The whole time I was there I kept thinking how much Kylee would have loved this as a toddler. She LOVED the Wiggles. We even took her to a concert. The only thing she would watch on TV was the Wiggles. Now it was more about the play than the Wiggles. It really made me realize she is really growing up. Now if I could get Katie to sit still for a Wiggles video.......
Completely off subject... I am excited to have a computer at my house again but I am hating typing on the laptop. It only spells every couple letters and doesn't space when I need it to. Charley says he doesn't have this problem but I do. So please excuse any spelling or spacing errors. I guess I need to take Keyboarding class again : )

Grandparent Time

Kylee and Katie have the two best sets of Grandparents anyone could ask for. They are Grandmommy and Granddaddy and Meme and Pops to my girls and they are amazing to them. Kaitlyn even recently started saying all their names which means more spoiling for her now : ) My mom is out of school for the summer and Kylee is very disappointed if we don't see her everyday. I feel so thankful that my mom doesn't mind coming to see her almost everyday. Meme and Pops have been visiting a lot recently from AR and Katie is really loving it. Kylee of course would love to spend every moment with them when they are in town. They even had a camp out in our media room (that's just what it is called, it has no TV in it or cool stuff just a couch and a bug tent for the girls, maybe one day). Kylee calls it our medium room : ) She still talks about this being a very fun camp out. I'm sure she is the only one that slept well on the floor. I just feel they are so blessed to have so much love surrounding them. Meme and Pops just came back to town so I am sure they will love every minute of time with them.

60 Years Happily Married

A couple weeks ago Charley and I traveled to AR to celebrate his grandparents 60th wedding anniversary with them. His grandfather is Charley's namesake. They have always made me feel so welcome and like I have been part of their family forever (like a granddaughter). Well, I had to share a picture of their "cake". Charley's aunt made a three layer money cake-it was made of $1000 and was really cool. It was like a basket weave. I was super impressed. It made it in the local paper and all. I sure hope they are enjoying all the "cake" now. I told them I hope Charley and I will celebrate 60 years one day. We just celebrated ten and loving our life together with our girls.

What's going on?

We went to Harding a couple weeks ago and had the girls take pictures on the famous Harding swings, the same swings Charley and I sat on for years while we dated. It was so fun to see them there and reminisce about our own memories. Kylee kept saying I love your school. It was sweet!! Katie just loved to run around.

Kylee swimming at swim lesson. She did so good.

My little swimmer and picture poser!!

Thought I would attempt to download some pictures. Easier than I expected. My girls love riding together in Kylee's princess car. Katie is a little scary because she likes to stand up and hang over the side. There are many days I am running down the street yelling Sit Down and she turns and smiles and keeps doing it (EEHHH). We are so blessed on our new street. There are 30 kids on the street and after dinner so many come out with their families and play. Several have little cars like Kylee's (2 princess, several Escalades, a Tractor) and they ride up and down the road. Don't worry we watch like a hawk. We also live in a cul-de-sac so it is not busy at all. Kylee is really coming out of her shell and playing with the kids. That makes me so happy.

This summer, my kids favorite things to do our swim, swim, swim. We took swim lessons and Kylee is doing so good. She even moves her arms as she swims. I am so proud of her. Katie is not scared of water at all, this scares me : ) She would jump in if I don't watch her at all times. I have found it hard to have both girls by myself at the pool. It is more enjoyable for them than me. I need a nap after swim time.

Still trying to figure this out

Ok so far my husband may be right I am a horrible blogger. I will get better once our computer is connected at my house. My sweet little Kylee stepped on our laptop screen several months ago (yes it is my fault for leaving it on the ground) and we have moved and have not had time to get another screen or fix it (which is way more expensive than I would have ever imagined). So, Charley set a date to get it connected at the house so I guess we will have a new monitor by then and I am so excited to not have to drive to my parents everytime I want to to check my email or Charley's favorite call him and have him look up my emails while he is at work. I can not imagine life without a computer. How spoiled I must sound : ) I am going to attempt posting some pictures this week. That should be a learning experience. I may need a tutorial on blogging by some of you experts.
