Trimming our Tree!

On Sunday after we got back from AR we got all our Christmas stuff out to decorate for Christmas. I really should have waited until we were unpacked from AR because my house is just now unpacked and put away but the next day was Dec. 1 and you have to be ready for Christmas then, right???? Anyway, the girls loved every bit of the decorating. Kylee got to hang all the stockings this year which she loved. Katie loved putting every ornament on one branch of the tree and popping the packing bubble, who knew?? Guess what she is getting for Christmas, packing bubbles, anyone agree!?!?? They love to both hang the star up, of course. They also love to talk about each ornament. Kylee loves that there are ornaments from kids when I taught school on my tree. We talk about those kids and my teaching days each year. They love there Hallmark Jack in the Box from Meme and Pops also. Those are just a few they love to talk about. They decorate the pink tree in all the jewels and crowns plus some of their own special ornaments. We also have a tradition of eating popcorn and m&m's that night while wearing our Christmas PJ's for the first time and watching Polar Express. By the end of the day I was exhausted but our house and tree were trimmed/decorated and it was beginning to look a lot like Christmas. The next morning when they got up they got to eat their first chocolate from their Chocolate Advent Calendar from Grandmommy and Grandaddy. They love this tradition and to see what holidayish type thing is melted into the candy. We are on day 8 now and they love it!! More Christmas post to come...
