Christmas Day in AR

Christmas morning was very fun and early. Katie was the first of all the kids to wake up and she waited very patiently to dig in to her gifts. We have a tradition of taking turns opening gifts. The youngest first all the way to the oldest. The girls were excited about all their goodies. Katie had asked Santa over and over for a Nutcracker??. We made sure Santa had one for her under the tree. It was a princess nutcracker. She squealed with excitement. Kylee didn't have one super big thing she wanted other than the Wii but she had already got that so she just loved seeing all her special things. Our cousins had fun with their new toys also. After present opening we have to hurry and get ready to go to GanGan's house. We have a big celebration with Charley's dads side of the family. The food is terrific, more gifts opened, and the annual football game is played. Thankfully no one was injured and they had a great time.

Christmas Eve in AR

We traveled to AR. for Christmas this year. The girls have the best time with all the family there. They have lots of cousin time and grandparent and great grandparent time. It really is sweet for them to know not just immediate family but such extended family. It is fun all the time from sun up to sun down. Christmas Eve is the big celebration at Nanny and Papaw's. There is lots of eating, playing and the traditional Chinese Christmas gift exchange. Bobby is in charge of the organization of the game. The kids have pre picked out toys to go get but they don't care. There is a lot of laughing and trying to hide gifts so they don't get taken by anyone. After hours of fun it is time for the kids to get ready for bed since Santa is on his way. We do cookies and then Pops read Twas the Night Before Christmas. Then off to bed!!
