Happy Birthday Jesus Party

We had the annual Happy Birthday Jesus Party! at The Russells house. It was a fun way to celebrate the real meaning of Christmas. Katie went dressed as Mary and brought Baby Jesus with her. We ate lunch, reenacted the story of Jesus birth, made a craft, and had birthday cake. We even sang Happy Birthday to Jesus. I love that this is important and teaching my kids at an early age about Jesus. Kylee missed this year for the first time because of school.

Kylee Goes Caroling

Kylee went Christmas caroling with her Girl Scout Troop. This was Kylee's first time to go caroling and I am glad she had the opportunity to do it.

Katie's Christmas Party

I got to go to Katie's Preschool Christmas Party. She had a great time. They decorated a gingerbread man and opened a book. She did not like her table area to get messy when she was decorating her cookie. She kept cleaning it up. I had fun watching her have fun with her friends. She also fell asleep on the couch when we got home. She was a sleepy girl.

Katie's Night to Shine

Katie had her night to shine with a Christmas dance recital and school program. She was great and you couldn't wipe the smile off her face all night. She had a cheering squad too. She literally smiled the entire dance recital. They danced ballet to Away in a Manger and then tap was to Santa Claus is Coming to Town. She did great but really had more fun smiling and waving at us. Then we had a quick dinner and went to her school for their performance of Glorious! She is still singing the chorus of that song at home. She did great and was super cute angel.

Kylee's Christmas Musical

Kylee participated in our church Christmas Musical called Christmas Hang Ups. She was a snowman and quite a cute one at that. We had a huge cheering squad for Kylee and we were so proud of her. She knew all the songs as did Katie and me. I think Katie could have jumped in on the day of the show and participate also. I will forever sing Bundle up bundle up its cold outside..... Kylee got to be a snowman with some of her sweet friends and she loved being with them also. She had practice every Sunday since the end of October. We were glad the musical was here and she loved it.

The Best Christmas Pageant Ever!

We went and watched my neice Kayden and sister in law Jennifer perform in their first play, The Best Christmas Pageant Ever! It was so good. They both did a great job and I laughed out loud several times. I was proud of them both. The girls did great and enjoyed the play too.

Surprise Snow

We had a surprise snow the first week of December and it only lasted a few hours and dusted the ground. Before school the girls had a quick play in the snow and had a fun time.
